Airport to City Access
Train, bus, taxi, and other options to the city center
Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) has no direct rail link to the centre. The cheapest way in is the Airport Express (AE) bus to the main train station, or city bus 119 to Nádraží Veleslavín and then metro line A. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are also available. Buy public transport tickets with an app or at machines.

Czechia drives on the right. Motorways require an electronic vignette (toll), which you buy online or at petrol stations before driving on them. Parking in city centres is scarce and often paid, so a car is best for regions rather than cities. Carry an International Driving Permit with your home licence.

Between cities, trains are run by national operator České dráhy (ČD) plus private lines RegioJet and Leo Express. Long-distance buses (FlixBus, RegioJet) are cheap and frequent, often with onboard comforts. Book popular routes ahead for the best fares.

Advice for safe and efficient travel
