Transit visa: Schengen rules apply. Airport Transit Visa (ATV) required for listed nationalities.

Condition: Must remain in the international transit area.

Facilities: Extensive at Frankfurt: massive duty-free, shops, restaurants, lounges, and medical center.

Food & drink: Wide variety of German and international dining. 24-hour options.

Rest & showers: Lufthansa Senator/First lounges with showers and sleeping areas. Transit hotel airside.

Minimum connection time: 60 minutes at Frankfurt for same-terminal. 90 minutes between T1 and T2.

Terminal change: SkyLine people mover between T1 and T2 (3 min). T1 is very large.

Baggage transfer: Bags transferred on same booking. Lufthansa hub very efficient.

Re-check required: Not required for same-alliance connections at Frankfurt.

Immigration: Schengen ATV rules apply.

Leaving the airport: Frankfurt accessible by S-Bahn from airport (11 min to Hauptbahnhof). Lufthansa offers city connection.

Airport hotel: Hilton Frankfurt Airport (T1 walkway). Sheraton (T1). Transit hotel airside.

Sleep options: Frankfurt transit area rest zones. Lufthansa Lounges with daybeds. Napcabs (pods).
