Visa Requirements
Types of visas required and their conditions
Visa-free: Schengen Area member. Many nationalities (incl. US, UK, Japan, Australia) visa-free.
Max stay: Up to 90 days within 180 days (Schengen zone)
⚠ ETIAS authorization planned. Canary Islands and Balearic Islands included in Schengen.
Passport Conditions
Required validity period and blank pages
Validity: Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date (Schengen rule for most).
Blank pages: At least 1 blank page required.
Required Documents & Pre-registration
Arrival cards, health declarations, and other preparations
Documents needed: Valid passport and visa (if required). Return/onward ticket recommended.
Cash Import Limits
Declaration-free limits and procedures for excess amounts
Declaration threshold: Must declare EUR 10,000 or equivalent in any currency (cash, traveler's checks, money orders).
How to declare: Complete customs declaration form (red channel). EU residents: declare when entering/leaving the EU.
