Israel uses 230V / 50Hz. The local socket is Type H (Israel's own three-pin plug), but modern outlets in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and most hotels also accept Type C (European two round pins), and Type M appears occasionally. A Type H/C adapter is recommended.

The main operators are Cellcom, Partner, Pelephone and HOT Mobile, with good 4G/5G coverage. Tourist prepaid SIMs are easy to buy at Ben Gurion Airport and in city shops. Bring your passport for registration; eSIM options are also widely available.

eSIM travel plans are a convenient option in Israel: buy one online before arrival and install it in minutes, with no physical SIM or shop visit. Local operators and international eSIM providers both offer data plans covering the country.

Wi-Fi is widely available in hotels, cafés, malls and many restaurants across Israel, and Tel Aviv even offers free public Wi-Fi in parts of the city. Connections are generally good. Use a VPN on public networks for sensitive tasks like banking.

Israel has a generally open internet with light restrictions. Standard apps and services — messaging, social media, maps and streaming — work normally. No special workaround is usually needed for common global services.

Handy apps include Gett (the main taxi-hailing app), Moovit (public-transport routing, invented in Israel), and Google Maps. Ride-hailing Uber operates mainly for food delivery here, with limited passenger service. Contactless payment such as Apple Pay and Google Pay is widely accepted.

Israel's country code is +972. App-based calls (WhatsApp, FaceTime and similar) are very common and widely used for both local and international calls. Save numbers in full +972 format so they work from any network.
