Hamad International Airport (DOH), one of the world's leading hubs, is the main gateway. The Doha Metro Red Line connects directly from the airport into central Doha, making it the fastest and cheapest way in. Official Karwa taxis and ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) are also easy options.

Public transport centres on the Doha Metro (Qatar Rail, with the Red, Gold and Green lines) plus the Karwa bus network run by Mowasalat, and the Lusail Tram around the Lusail district. The metro is fast, air-conditioned and clean, ideal for getting around central Doha.

Car Rental & Driving

In summer the heat is extreme, so take care with outdoor travel during the day and stay hydrated. The Doha Metro is fully air-conditioned and comfortable, a good way to beat the heat. Be mindful that some businesses adjust hours around Friday prayer times.
