Arepa
About
A staple of the Venezuelan table: a disc of cornmeal dough griddled until crisp outside and fluffy within, then split and filled with meat, cheese, beans or avocado. It appears at breakfast, lunch and dinner alike, with countless combinations of fillings. In Barquisimeto too it is a national dish enjoyed casually at stalls and diners.
