Ndolé
About
A signature national dish of Cameroon, a rich stew of bitter ndolé leaves and a peanut paste. Beef, dried fish and shrimp are added for depth, and its distinctive faint bitterness harmonises with a nutty aroma. It is typically eaten with plantains, steamed rice or cassava dumplings, and is indispensable at celebrations.
